Christian Funeral Services

christian funeral program Christians believe those who have professed their faith in Jesus Christ are eternally secure in heaven to be with the Lord forever.Christian funeral services are not somber but more of a Life Celebration for the deceased.

The services are uplifting and provide a hope in knowing that their loved one is with the Lord of their life. Christians view death as a doorway to a better place. Family and friends are comforted to know that their loved one is at peace in heaven. To the Christian, this is an assurance of their destiny according to what the Bible says about life after death and faith in Jesus.

We have a beautiful selection of funeral service programs in our online store for Christian/Faith based themes. You can place the final celebration of life information within these templates easily and quickly. It can be distributed within the funeral service to all attendees.

Generally, in a Christian funeral service there is no visitation or viewing of the body. Some denominations like the Catholic faith do follow a more specific funeral custom but most Christian churches do not follow their customs. The funeral service is either a memorial or funeral service. Most do not have a funeral casket in the service, but a few do, especially if it is held in a funeral home. Most services are held at the church the deceased attended with the pastor officiating the service.

The order of service includes singing of funeral hymns, a soloist, Bible scriptures, a short message given by the pastor, prayer, some also do a video presentation of the deceased photos, and a time of sharing by family and friends. The time of sharing by family and friends is a very encouraging time. This is when people voluntarily speak to the attendees and bereaved family, of how the deceased has impacted or touched their life. Usually at the end of these testimonies, those who are in attendance are greatly encouraged.

After the service there may also be a short fellowship reception at the church with refreshments and snacks. Generally, there is no graveside service, but some do opt to include it.
