We offer a huge selection of funeral program templates that you can edit in Word, Publisher, Apple Pages and now Google Docs! Today we’re going to learn how to edit our template in Google docs.
Google docs is a great free online tool anyone can use that is easy-to use, very intuitive and requires no special software installed on your computer. You can also access and share your program template from anywhere online!
Once you click on the download link we provide for you located within your account and email receipt, you will need to login to google using your own email address to access and edit the template. In order to use it, just login with your email address, it does not have to be a gmail but if you'd like to create one, that is also an option.
Once your template is open, you will see the template with the full color background in place along with filler text to help guide you along. To change the filler text, simply click inside the tex box, highlight the text, delete and begin typing or pasting in your own information. You may change the font size and style if desired by selecting your text and choosing the font face you like as well as the size and formatting such as bold, italics or regular.
To insert your photo, remove our placeholder shape on the front cover. Select insert, upload your photo from your computer, select, go to the crop tool dropdown and choose the shape you like. The photo will automatically format to your desired shape. You can also crop it by clicking on the crop tool and moving the horizontal guides to the desired sizing.
To add more pages, click on the page go to edit > duplicate. Google docs will now copy your selected page with all its content and background. Change the text as desired. Our video below demonstrates the easy steps to edit any of our templates in this amazing free online tool!
Once you're finished entering your text and inserting your photos, you are ready to print. Choose file > print and print pages 2 & 3. This should print on the front and back of your funeral paper.
